WHO IS CAITLIN
I am an artist living in Fishers, Indiana. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, educated at Purdue University and I enjoy staying fresh and relevant in a world of copy cats. I love volunteering and serve as Outreach Director on the Board of AIGA Indy. I am privileged to work with some fantastic creative people in the local design community. I am a mom to a baby who spends most of her day smiling and a wife to a music educator that I love and support with my whole heart.

HOW I GOT TO TODAY
Active on the campus of my alma mater, I latched on to opportunities at Purdue Marketing Communications and the Purdue Alumni Association where I got a head start on the design world with a twist towards licensed merchandise and brand identity enforcement and protection. Graduating in the beginnings of the recession, I counted myself lucky to earn a job. My licensing career extended into work at a licensing agency and has been a key strength at every new job I tackle. Work force reduction increased my flexibility and abilities to market myself. Ties to and a passion for school music landed me in the non profit sector, working on a tight budget creating media for the masses with an eye on brand consistency and enticing products. Layoffs 2.0 led to a change of venue once more, but not without some entreprenurial spirit thriving. I started Hold The Cheese, my freelance business, and created invitations and other print needs for over a dozen brides. At Indiana University Bloomington, I was part of the marketing team for their Residential Programs & Services. My feature role was serving as the design lead for the complete rebranding of the University wide internal Dining Services. From color palate to new logo creation, brand names to menu signs, and navigational cues in, around, and to the dining areas, my 5 person team made huge strides in our 30 month project. My family moved and I'm now a creative-for-hire, taking on marketing and branding clients as well as wedding couples and projects for bundles of joy.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe in color theory and its place in design. I value good people and trusted relationships. I am professionally trained with a creatively curious wandering mind. I'm inspired by music, organic forms, food, energy, and motion. I dislike Microsoft Word but deal with it when I must.
